Neither of those people are Shane or Dakota so I’m calling false advertising! ;)

Fair point😂 although you can look forward to some more clickbait this weekend ;)

I agree with both of you. Comedians push boundaries, and the degree of subtlety varies. That word has so much baggage and moral connotations. On one hand, women cannot make a spectacle of their bodies (you really can complete an intense workout in more clothes without issue - in other words, the argument for mobility is really weak) and not expect eyes. However, making moral judgments based on looks alone should be frowned upon as they are in other scenarios.

Totally. And, to be fair, Shane didn’t say scantily clad women at the gym are wh*res. He said they just dress like wh*res.

I know it sounds like I’m splitting hairs, but I do think that distinction matters. Objective commentary on reality shouldn’t veer into character assassination

I see where you’re coming from. That whole last sentence is a great rule for the, as you say, gender war discussion!

Thanks! I try to live by it

Are you team Sach or team Vic?

A little more shame would be helpful for the world, so I’m team Sacha there. I doubt that court jester is having much of an impact though. Maybe Vic should take up comedy and provide the women with respectable takedowns! I am a little concerned about her general reading of Scripture and society through a communist lens. It’s NOT all about power! And if it were, what would be the point of talking and writing? You should definitely READ Jane Austen; don’t settle for the movies. Austen is so wise and so much fun.

I’ve never pictured Vic as a comic before but I like the sound of it😂 Also, Austen was a good Anglican, so I really do have to read her haha
